Hans Bowski Vzfw or Ltn.d.Res
Vzfw Hans Bowski - according to the records scored 5 victories with Jasta 14 during 1917 before being seriously wounded 03/09/17 and then later flew with Jasta 51 without adding to his tally.
I believe the record of his wounding appears in Verlustlisten on 17 Sep 1917, he was born 25/08/?? in Marienberg, However, Militär- Wochenblatt : unabhängige Zeitschrift für die deutsche Wehrmacht, Juli bis Dezember 1917 lists amongst the 'Fliegertruupen' Vizefeldwebel promotions for 18/09/17 a Bowski from (Bezirk) Bromberg. Obviously many Germans signed up in different places to where they were born i.e Curt Wüsthoff born in Aachen signed up in Dresden. The question is does any forumite know if another Vzfw Bowski was in the air service in September 1917 or is this the same now wounded Vzfw Bowski promoted to Ltn.d.Res? |
