Vzfw. Bruno Rodschinka

I am searching for more information about the Dresden-born pilot Bruno Rodschinka. I have some information about his pre-war and post-war life (Junkers pilot) but I am eager to know more about his WWI exploits.

Hi Rammjäger

I have seen his name somewhere, but I dont remember where, and I cant find him in my database of German units..

Maybe, he was involved in the #top secret project program" about German "super Giants a/c "* together with Forsman and others../..or was he involved with the Swedish Air Force after the War...??

*You have probably seen the the photo of the Giantic wheel..

Sorry but I cant found the information yet...

Thanks, Gunnar!

I think you saw his name in connection with Junkers post-war work.

Hi Rammjäger,

Bruno Rodschinka is mentioned in Windsock Datafile 29 - SSW D.III/D.IV. Apparently he was working as a test pilot for SSW in late 1918.
Supposedly he shot down two DH 4 bombers out of 24 on Sept. 7, 1918, while at Kest 8 (presumably while demonstrating the SSW fighter to unit members).
A photo of Rodschinka standing in front of SSW D.IV 6173/18 is shown on page 27 of the Datafile.
I assume Peter Grosz has more information about Rodschinka.

Hope this helps,

Best regards,

Joern

Another Pilot For Research

Gentlemen,

My only guess was that Bruno Rodschinka was a fighter pilot serving in an unknown Jasta. Total of his air to air victories for World War I is unknown. When did he became a fighter pilot is also not known to many researchers.

Hi Joern

Interesting information that Rodschinka was involved in combats on 7 Sep 18..

I dont have any detailed German description of the bombing raid made against Mannheim-Ludwigshafen, but a shorter reports says that one bomber was shot down on the way to the goal, two further over the spot. And two more were shot down one their way home...no direct damaging was caused by the bombs. With this 67 e/a have been brought down over home land area...

It should exist a good book about the Independant (Air) Force, who made this raid. Probably this book can give some additional allied views of the raid....??

Thank you, friends!

I wrote to a letter to a "Rodschinka" - maybe I can find out more.
