I need a little help (or perhaps a LOT of help). I am trying to pin down the military service record of Vzfw. Gottfried Ehmann. I know that he served in Schusta 15 from at least Oct 17 through at least Aug 18, was credited with 12 v/c's (as a Gunner) of fourteen claimed (anyone know details of the two unconfirmed), and that he received the Prussian Golden Military Merit Cross on 9Aug18. And yes, I know that his pilots were Uffz. Warda (1st name?) and Vzfw. Friedrich Huffsky. What I am really looking for is a definition of his exact dates of service with Ss 15, and hopefully a better clarification of his over-all service record. Being the highest scoring German two-seater gunner the details surrounding his air service career are remarkedly lacking! Hoping for the best. Rick |
