Records of WW1 RAF pilots
Can I obtain the military record of an RFC/RAF pilot from the National Archives in London and how accurate are these? I have tried the website but its a bit coy about the depth and range of records. I should state I have bought service records for WW2 pilots and am looking for the same level of record.

For starters, I would suggest making a basic search of the pilot record on the Royal Air Force Museum Story Vault.
Then, I would list the pilot here and see how far you get. Most of what you would receive by payment could probably be found by researchers on this site. Even if that is not the case, you could request records providing info you were not able to obtain on the web. Just a thought, Steve |
