Hi guys.
Anyone have the same birthday as their favorite WWI pilot?
I'm lucky enough to share May 19th with none other than Oswald Boelcke and Frank Luke, Jr. I believe it is also the anniversary of Raoul Lufbery's death in 1918.
Just wondering if there's anybody else out there who cares about this type of thing!

Lacking any WWI ace reference, my only dubious claim to coincidence is that I was born two years to the day after Jimmy Dolittle crashed in China...oh...he did bomb Tokyo on the way.
My humble request is that you mathematicians out there ignore the obvious. My girlfriend is convinced my drivers license is wrong, and I don't want to destroy her illusion.

Mike: Just tell her you made it that way for when you enter a bar and are carded.

My answer to the silly question is that my son who just turned '1' was born on the eighty year anniversary of Voss' death - Sept. 23. Unfortunately this occurred during a Monday Night football game involving the Pittsburgh Steelers, the only thing I enjoy more than WWI aviation.

I have the same birth date, Aug 16th, as one of my favorite aviators, the Canuck, Alfred Atkey. He was lethal flying Brisfits, and with another pilot once took on twenty enemy fighters and shot down five, whilst his partner shot down four! Worth visiting him in the "Aces" section to read about his exploits.

I don't know if any aces were born on the same date I was,but I do share a birthday ( Nov.15th ) with Erwin "The Desert Fox" Rommel.

I do not share birthdays with any aces. However, my birthday does fall two days before Lothar von Richthofen's and two days after the death of the last great knight (and one of my favorites), Werner Voss.

Well, no birthdays, that I know of. But Bishop died the same year I was born, and both he and my father were only 62 when they died.

Later,

Al

I'd been married for ten years as of 24th Sept. I'm pretty sure that's within 364-5 days of all the aces birthdays

I'm a dot
