Anyone played Ace of Aces out there?

Didn't know if anyone still plays this classic game!

I played for years Blue Max! It's actually that board game which introduced me to WW1 aviation interest, I was 14yo in 1990

I got so much in love with it that, in years I bought 3 boxes from the 3 editions released in Italy.

I really loved it and spent hours with friends. Even with some huge aids, like the chance to see every plane, everywhere. Or not consider potential/kinetic energy, but man... a game is a game. It's meant to be fun, and it was.

Yes, that's a great one. I'm messing with a system pretty similar to that but with energy as the focus.

It's been many years since I cracked the books, but still admire the simplicity. Hands down the best (probably the only?) aircombat game that can be played in the car on the way to a Con!

Haven't played Ace of Aces in decades, but then I just started playing Wings of Glory (formerly Wings of War), after a 11 year hiatus. Anyone have a good source for a copy of AoA?
