My Great Grandfather flew these aircraft whilst stationed in Egypt in 1918. I don't have any information on these aircraft other than the Bristol, which we have tracked down a picture of.
I understand it's a bit of a stretch that anyone will have much on these, but you never know until you ask...

Both Nieuport machines were delivered to R.F.C. from the same pool of aircraft, the difference in serial numbers is misleading, both Nieport 23.
B1665 Nie.23C1, N3804 flown to 2 AD ex-Paris on 9 May 1917 ...
B3474 Nie.23C1, N2680 flown to 2 AD ex-Paris on 26 May 1917 ...
There are couple of books containing individual histories of Pups, Camels and British Nieuports.
Regards,
Yavor

Hi
An article in 'Cross& Cockade International Journal' of Spring 2016 might be of interest to you. This is 'Wings Over Suez - The History of RFC/RAF Training in Egypt 1916-1919' by Ray Vann and Mike O'Connor. It includes information from Mick Davies in a 'Logbook' section on representative aircraft (serials) at various units. There is also a section on RFC & RAF Officer and Cadet fatalities during 1916-1919 also if that is of interest.

Bristol F2b A7194 does in fact crop up in the CCI article.
5 Fighting School RAF. Formed at Heliopolis in 38th Wing, ex SAF & SAG 5.9.1918. Formed lettered squadrons for tribal suppression 1919. Disbanded 22.7.1919.
Checking for others now.

Bristol A7194 was flown by both No 111 Squadron and No 67 Squadron (1 Squadron AFC). In just a month with No 111 Sqn, it was involved in five claims:
on 8 October 1917, 2nd Lt R C Steele & Lt J J Lloyd-Williams shot down an Albatros Scout that fell in Allied territory
on 15 October the same crew claimed an Albatros Scout as destroyed between Shellah and Sharia
on 30 October Capt A H Peck & Capt J J Lloyd-Williams shot down a two-seater north-west of Khalasa
on 6 November the same crew forced a Rumpler two-seater to land at Um Dabkal and shot it up on the ground
and on 8 November this crew shot down an Albatros Scout in flames over Huleikat.
Taken over by 67 Sqn/1 Sqn AFC at Mejdel, A7194 was involved on a reconnaissance on 17 January 1918 in which an Albatros Scout was engaged over El Lubbar and some accounts suggest it was claimed as out of control by Lt L M S Potts & Lt F W Hancock.
A7194 was crashed by Lt Garson & Lt Letch on 27 March and ended its career at No 5 Fighting School, Egypt.
