Slow Motion Clerget

Hello Fellows,

I am still here quietly working on the Camel. I have been fine tuning the engine on the stand and have a slow motion video for you to enjoy. You can clearly see where the exhaust valve opens at 120 deg from TDC.

Sincerely,

Koz

FYI, the best way to embed a video here is to use the youtube button on the menu...

Just push the button, then insert the last few characters from the address, in this case: AaJV5-TzkqQ

The audio of the firing sequence is really interesting is this running full-out or on a blip switch?

Full speed

Thanks Rob,

I'll try it with the full speed video. CJ, it is not being blipped, rather it is simply warming up. That 15min video is a result of a 2min run time. I was still adjusting the tampier and air levers. I never did get it rich enough as you can hear the popping. I need to change the diameter of my fuel lines and possibly the needle in the tampier.

Thank you for the explanation, I know the firing sequence in rotaries are patterned and that the warmup as witnessed is different than an inline... I've noticed from rotary to rotary the amount of oil thrown varies how does your engine behave?

Oil use

Yes, CJ,

The engine uses a quart every 15 min. I can adjust the volume on the oil pump but I currently have it set to the full volume. I may dial it back after some testing.
