Hello Cnock
I found the KS 23 in february 1917 on the airfield Fonsomme, in april 1917 on the airfield Clermont les Fermes, all 7. Armee. Since 28 may 1917 stand the KS 23 on the 4. Armee. I didn't found any infos about their airfield. At first in the november 1917 I found the KS 23 airfield Cruyshautem, 4. Armee, CO Oblt. Kurt Pflugbeil. On 7. november 1917 the Staffel change the airfield and moved to Essigny le petit, 5. Armee. Greeting Reinhard

Sorry, i make a mistake.  The info about the airfield Essigny le petit is wrong. KS 23 was january 1917 on this airfield and not november 17. Reinhard

Hallo Reinhard,
thanks for the info, as You indicated that they were from may 1917 with the 4th Army, a German map of the airfield of Nieuwmunster (Neumünster, Houttave) dating from July 1917, mentions in red: anlagen der Kampfstaffel 23. Would like to know more about their activity at that time regards, Cnock |
