I wanted to put 4 large beautiful Kepples, of important WWI aviation themes/events, in the aerodrome Classifieds, but is is poorly suited for LARGE images of paintings. Since these are all about the visual..the small images there just do not seem to work. Even if you just like LOOKING at them, you might wish to see them on the ehangar forum. Put up nice LARGE shots, including enlarged details. There is always a lot of Russell Smith's WWI art over there, as well, not to mention Jim Dietz, and other artists with some great WWI art. Put some Pioneer art on the well knwn auction site. Now down to about 200 original aviation art pieces from around 300, last year-so still a LOOONG way to go.
Here is a "zoomed-in" detail shot from Kepple's “Germany's Last Gasp”: Major Kirby of the "Hat in the Ring" squadron, shoots down a Fokker D-VII for the last American air victory of WWI. November 10, 1918, as reported by U.S. Ace of Aces,
Eddie Rickenbacker, in his book, “Fighting The Flying Circus.” Must have gained a few gray hairs doing all those lozenge sections!
