Captain J. J. Kingsbury
I am looking for any information regarding Captain Joesph J. Kingsbury. His 1955 obituary says he was a corporal in the Spanish-American war and joined the army air corps in 1912 when the flying program was in its infancy. He rose to Captain during World War I. He was manager of the Buffalo NY Veterans Bureau in 1929. In 1931 Major Kingsbury was procurement officer at the VA hospital in Canandaigua, NY. Based on a foot locker I have I believe he may have been a balloon observer. Any help with units and service would be appreciated.
