Need book

Can anyone recommend a book or web site that has lots of color views (paintings? Computer generated?) of German "Flying Circus" squadrons and aircraft in action? Need not be 100% accurate colors. This is for some possible filming consulting that I may do.

Greg VanWyngarden's "von Richthofens Flying Circus" published by Albatros has a bunch of profiles, Albatros, Dr.I and D.VIIs which might be useful. You can also contact Dan San-Abbott - he's published a great catalog of the profiles he's done over the years that would probably help as well. Dan's profiles are for the most part - please correct me Dan if mistaken - 3 or 5 views.

Bob Pearson's web site has some good stuff, but to get the full effect, he has a CD with good selection of profiles - mostly just side views though.

Mark Miller and Jay Thompson have both done some really super profiles in addition to their 3-D work which could be helpful as well.

No shortage of material ......

I only have a couple of Triplanes. MvR and LvR on my site. www.wingstrut.com

That publication, Fighting the Flying Circus is your best bet. It is published as part of the Windsock Files by Albatros Publications.

You can obtain a copy from Aeroplane Books. There is a link to them on my Links page on my site. They are based in the US and can do overnight mailing. Very reliable and prompt service.
