Gentlemen,
Consideration of building a diorama has led me to an interest in the tents the Germans used as hangars. A few questions came to mind;
1 what company(s) made them?
2 when were they introduced?
3 struck and folded, how big were they? What did they weigh and were they packed in bags or boxes? How much truck space did they eat up/
4 how many men were needed to erect one?
5 how long did that take?
6 how many fighters would one hold? Standard arrangements?
7 are there any prints plans instructions or reference materials available that would enable one to construct a scale replica?
I have spent some time examining the possibilities of extracting the necessary info from photographs but I am attempting to ration my remaining sanity.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Best regards to alll,
Terry

Terry Crisp:
First I have a dimensioned drawing of the aircraft FieldTent Hangar used for 1 C class or 3 fighters aircraft.
Each unit had two Corporals assigned to the tent maintenance duty. I don't off-hand know who the tent manufacturers were. I am sure the infomation is available.
I would imagine the First Sergeant would put all hands to erecting the tents.
Each unit had two wagons that were towed by the unit's trucks to transport the folded-up tents.
The aircraft tent had electic lighting.

Would this be the same class of tent hangers used by Jasta 12 at Toulis? Or is that a smaller hanger?
