Model Bell tents?

Hi gang!

can anyone point me in the right direction to getting a couple of model 1stww period Bell tents please? The scale i'm after is from 1/32 to 54mm for a diorama that i will be starting on soon. The diorama in question will show RFC groundcrew working on an a/c!

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hello Tim
I have searched all my usual places & sites to try and find something suitable you could use, alas to no avail. You could keep an eye on the more 'toy' soldier sites if they are to be found anywhere they will likely be on there.

The only other option open is to scratch build one using wire to get the shape and then draping it with tissue paper wetted down with water/PVA glue. If you use this method you might end up with a better result anyway!

Sorry I can't be of any more help
Good luck with your project!

re; bell tents!

Hi guys,
many thanx indeed - greatly appreciated! I've only seen one model of a bel tent, and that came with the corgi hurricane diorama and spitfire diorama - i certainly wasn't going to spend that amount of money on a bell tent model! LOL!!

The canvas hangar plan looks great, i have canvas (white) to make one, its just getting the guylines and ropework sorted!!

thanx once again
