MvR Photo ID
Can anyone identify where and when this photo of MvR was taken, I've checked my books and can't seem to find this or a similar photo but I'm pretty sure someone will have it

I know this photo you have. It was reprinted in a Richthofen photo essay in the Cross and Cockade journal many years ago. The photo credit was to Alex Imrie. Unfortunately no details to identify the men or location were provided. Biber, Manfred often does not wear the EK II ribbon but I do have photos of him with it. He is a military review of fashion for me! This is because he was photographed with so many styles of dress, medals and so on. There are pictures of him wearing no medals, not even the Pour le merite. Blue skies, FliegerJG1

I can't help identify the photo, but I own a colorized version that was part of a give away by a German cigarette company in the 20's or 30's. It seems to be such an unposed, candid shot, that it makes me think it might have been a still from some film footage of MvR.

Jager- The wooden hangar in the background looks like one of those at Marckebecke where the door was hinged at the bottom to give a solid surface for the mechanics to use. Cannot see the people well enough to tell who they are besides MvR.

Do not know why, but since the first sight, the figure at the left seems to me like Karl Emil Schaefer...but maybe it's false that's only my feeling.
