Roland DVIb
I'm looking for info on the Roland DVIb, any color profiles, photos, etc. I just picked up the MAC kit and it looks like a lovely little ship.
Cheers,

Robert Pearson has a few profiles of D.VIa's online here.
Not exactly what you need but worth a look.

Hi JDCMasters,
Try these links, you can find a few photos and one or two profiles :
Roland D.VI pictures
Roland D.VI pictures2
Roland D.VI profile
For me, the best reference on this subject is the Windsock Datafile # 37, by Peter M. Grosz : lot of good photos, drawings in 1/72nd and 1/48th scales and 3 colo(u)r profiles.
Hope this is help.
Best regards from Belgium
Philippe

The Roland...
many thanks to all of you. You've been a great help. i just received more Neiuports (11 & 16c) and a Pfalz DIIIa. It's snowing to beat the band. A good day for modeling.
Cheers!

1/4 scale Roland D.VIa at AMA Museum, Muncie IN
If you are traveling between Ohio & Indy on I-70, there is a very nice 1/4 scale Roland D.VIa at the AMA Museum in Muncie, IN. I was there for the first time back in Oct 04 and really loved the place. I could spend a week just looking through the massive AMA library.
That's me in a wheel chair (after foot surgery) with my hat on backwards so I don't accidentally ram it into the structure (I really got up close to see the detail)

Rol.D.VIa and D.VIb.
Gentlemen:
The Rol.D.VI a and b had 30' (1/2 degree) dihedral on both sides of the upper wing. The Rol.D.VIa used 25mm natural linen rib tapes on 4 color lozenge printed linen fabric. The Rol. D.VIb used 4 color printed fabric and cut strips of the fabric for rib tapes.
Blue skies,
Dan-San
