I just came into a great deal of a boxload of Revell 1/28 Fokker Tripes. What I would like to do is put together the planes that were flying with MvR on April 21st during his final battle. Anybody have a list of who was there and the what tripe they were flying?

Thanks,

Paul

They were all finished in PC-10 with large "Gs" painted on each side of the fuselage and both the top and bottom wing, underneath.

Paul,

A serious and reasonable question. After Barker jumped in, however, I decline to respond. R.

fwiw - MvR had done a number of things that day he'd've liked a"do-over" on:
- flying alone
- over-focus on quarry
- flying low and slow
- a totally red aircraft
- not clearing it with Rick during the entire procedure

As he was alone, there weren't any others in that specific fight.
Which you of course know.

Perhaps the historians here who track each day and each pilot and each serial and work number of each Jasta strength know such things.
Rick is one of those fine historians and typically capable of such a fine contribution.

MvR undoubtedly took off with squadron mates - but his last minutes were strictly solo.

Have you considered posting this as well in "Aircraft" and "People"?
The Historians here often do not catch a request like this unless you put it more conspicuous in their interest area.

A reasonable request.
Am a bit surprised Rick chose not to answer you as it is apparently well-within his purported capabilities.

It's wayyy outside mine - your smile is what I was looking for.
