I read a couple of posts complaining about the wings on the Eduard Sopwith Camel. Exactly what is wrong with them, and can they be fixed easily? I don't have access to the Windsock intl. issue, so cannot read Ray Rimmel's comments on it.
thanks,
Dave

How about it wasn't built by Roden!!!!! B)

This is what some people would have us believe anyway.....

So the complaint has no basis?

The comment is subjective.

Some prefer Blue Max Camel wings.
Some prefer Eduard.
Some are not that concerned either way.
Some choose to fix the "flaws" of either kit to their liking.

Am working on that Eduard kit right now, having just finished an excellent Roden kit and can say there is little difference in either kit.

They are both superb and so far an improvement over the kind of kit available to us as little as 3 years ago that all complaint seems minor enough.

They're each beautifully done.

For comparison, getting out an old Flashback kit or an even earlier Eduard is instructive.
So is getting a hold of Roden's Strutter in clear plastic.

pissing in someone else's glass doesn't make another clean...

I couldn't be happier with either company's offerings.
We are most fortunate these days.

If you want to subdue the surface detail. Other than that there is no real problem with the Eduard 1/48 Camel, in my opinion.
