G'day, all--
I am looking for construction details on the forward fuselage of the Ni 11, it being unclear to me--despite access to a variety of strip-down photographs and drawings--whether the Bebe like its "Super" descendent had strengthening panels on the fore fuselage sides--whether wood, aluminum, or both. There was clearly a stout piece of vertical timber that served as a mount for the breather tube, ammo box cross support, and access panel. One museum-quality model shows the addition of an outer aluminum panel from the firewall to the wing leading edge. Plans and photos, however, variously show a "panel" line/break either just forward or just aft of the cockpit. :-/
What's the skinny?
TIA and VBR to all,
Stefen
