He was Australia's greatest ever sportsman.
What is extraordinary was that he was loved as much in places such as England and India as he was in Australia.
With an average of 99.94 no one has even come close to his ability.
It would be like a baseballer having a career average of 3 home runs a game or a basketballer 50 points a game average.

As Paul Kelly put it, Don Bradman was 'more than just a man, he was half the bloody side'
