I, while looking things "Boelcke" on the search engines, found a site that proclaimed that, "Oswald Boelcke became a Master Mason sometime between 1912 and 1914 in his hometown of Halle an der Saale. He wore a "Forget-me-not" on his flight jacket ".

Is there any truth to this. I know I've never heard about it, and considering the dates...

There is nothing remarkable about this. It was much later, during Hitler's 3rd Reich, that Masonry was proscribed in Germany.
Some European countries required longer times between degrees. For example, Greece once required seven years total...one year for study of each of the seven arts and sciences.
Many who attained the third degree did not wear a pin or watch fob with the familiar square and compasses for political or other reasons. I have an antique Masonic pin, given me by a student, whose significance would be entirely unknown to any but another Mason, in that it is a literal representation of the 47th problem of Euclid.

During Quantril's raid on Lawrence, Kansas Masons who gave the distress sign were spared. Cole Younger and Quantril were both Masons.

Well, it dosen't sound right, first off, his hometown was Dessau. Next,in 1912 he would only have been 19/20.....awfully young I thought for that degree.

In my state, a candidate must be 18 to receive the degrees. Age limits vary with jurisdiction.
