This may be a dificult question to answer. I have often wondered if Ball and Voss ever fought each other. :-/

I hope that this isn't an impossible question to answer. Ahh well.

Chris,

On May 7, 1917 Voss was credited with shooting down Lt.Chaworth-Musters of 56 Sqn. That is the same day that Ball died. However, I am not aware of any reports of Ball and Voss meeting in battle.
