Born 10 August 1894 in Illionis.
Joined the service on 15 August 1917 and was appointed a 1st Lt, Aviation Section, Signal Officers Reserve Corps on 24 December 1917, accepted 1 January 1918. Vacated 18 September 1920.
His home address in 1918 was 105 East English, Danville, Illionis.
He received training as an Observation Squadron pilot at the 2nd Aviation Instruction Center, Tours, France in 1918.
He joined the 104th Aero Squadron on 7 September 1918. He was shot down and captured on 30 September 1918 POW).
Stayed in the Air Service after the war. Appointed 1st Lt. Regular Army on 1 July 1920. Accepted 17 September 1920.
Killed at Mitchell Field, New York on 23 September 1922 while flying a night bomber mission.
