Medals

Hiya,

Quite a while ago I mentioned that I had been given my Great Grandfather's Great War medals after he passed away (aged 102). At the time I was a small boy and didn't appreciate their value. A lot of forumites mentioed that it wasn't that bad, and that when they were given to a 8 year old boy the consequences oif doing so must have been realised.

Well...

My sister found them in a box in her house!!!

Talk about ecstatic, I am so pleased that she has them after 20-odd years of not knowing where they went- 10 years of those being quite ashamed that I lost them in the first place.

Just thought I'd tie the end of this one up and thank everyone who gave their input to the previous thread regarding this affair. It was a very long time ago, but thanks anyway.
