About the only one that really annoyed me was the 6500 height limit in the campaign. But that was a gameplay choice by Dynamix, increasing the density of aircraft in an area so there were more combats. Most other shortcomings were gameplay choices by Dynamix. Other than an enthusiast of the period they wouldnt be picked up and overly noticed.
There were a plethora of patches which modified the game in some way, from squadrons and services, to personalities to flight models and damage models. So you can make RBII in to pretty much what you think a WWI flight sim should be by picking and choosing between the patches. Or even making your own patch or modifying an existing patch.
For my part, myself and Steve Belanger did a patch called Flanders Fields, it added the AFC, MFJ's and Belgians to the game. Still the best campaign around and the only one I know of that adds personalities to the game. Apart from Mig Alley no other game has really come close in the last three years. Looking forward to Rowans next take on the WWI Flight Sim genre. Fingers Xed they do it.
