Abbreviation "N.M.C.C.S."

Can anyone assist me with this abbreviation, please?

It relates to a man who contracted influenza at Abeele airfield, about 11 miles from Ypres, in October 1916. He was admitted to "NMCCS" - clearly [Something Something] Casualty Clearing Station - and from there transported to No. 35 General Hospital at Calais, from where he was evacuated to England.

Image attached for reference.

Having consulted Chris Baker's magnificent site with its page on Casualty Clearing Stations (https://www.longlongtrail.co.uk/army...ring-stations/), I can find no logical abbreviation for a CCS which must have been located between Abeele and Calais.

Chris' page does show that No. 10 CCS was based at Abeele (probably in the village) at the time, which would be the logical location for him to be admitted to, but I can find nothing that ties 10 CCS and "NMCCS" together.

Has anyone come across this abbreviation before or can anyone suggest what the NM might stand for, please?

Thanks
Steve

Could it be '53 (North Midland) Casualty Clearing Station' ?

Was at Bailleul between March,1916 and March,1918.

Bailleul is just 20-km SW of Ypres.

Hi Ned, while not conclusive, it's an excellent suggestion and was most likely the CCS in question. Many thanks for taking the time to reply. I appreciate it.
