French control column/stick firing triggers

Does anyone have photos of French triggers for control sticks or columns? I think there's a standard type of traditional pull grip for the Nieuports and SPADs but interested to see if there were also button types similar to those on the Germany and British aircraft.

Triggers

I don't have any pictures, but I have seen some. Basically, the triggers I have seen are much like the triggers on a conventional rifle. They were attached just below the top of the control stick, and were pulled just like the trigger of a rifle. Try looking for books or articles about SPADs. They probably have pictures.

Red face French triggers on the stick

First thought was that finding photos of Nieuport and SPAD cockpits would not be hard. And it isn't. Finding photos that answer your question about triggers, however, is nigh impossible.

For instance, here is a photo of a Nieuport 17 cockpit :

No trigger on the stick. Why not? Because this plane is a replica. No guns mounted, so no triggers.

Did find this cockpit shot of a Nieuport 28 :

Looks to be a replica, too, but a museum replica so the details are accurate. Two triggers evident on the stick. Interesting position.

Found nothing worth repeating on SPADs.

Sorry I have no more to offer.
