Rotary engine serial numbers.

Good day folks: Recently I was asked if I could supply any rotary engine (Gnome) serial numbers for a member's project. I am taking this thread to try and make this a Forum-wide request for everyone's benefit. Please see if you may help this member.

I do not readily have any numbers to send him about this topic. The only times I have seen records with engine serial numbers are official reports of losses and maybe a victory report in-depth with same. The only rotary aircraft reports I can think of are the Camels used by the British and the two U.S. squadrons, 17PS and 148PS on the northern front. French and Italian reports are not available for me. This leaves basically the two U.S. sqdrs in my case. I will look for same in my "stuff".

Why don't we all contribute what we have and make this a Forum Data listing??? Ant takers?? Can't hurt...

Cheers, FM
