Question Norman Brearley balloon 1916

It is documented in a few places that Norman Brearley RFC flamed a German balloon whilst flying a DH.2 in 1916. His tactic was to go into a spin above the balloon, feigning an AA hit, then recover just above the balloon. What I cannot find is the date, except some vague indication of "autumn" or "end of the year". Does anyone have a date for this victory?

He was in DH2 5961, and he shot down the KB at Sheet 28 E.19.

The map reference gives a location some 4,000 yards north-north-east of Zonnebeke.
