I vaguely remembered Teven und Braun being discussed in the context of this thread ... probably looking a bit up and down from the linked post might give you an idea whether it's interesting to you or not:

Have you also seen John McKenzie's post above the one I'm linking, alluding to photographs he shared with another forum member?

Had the Albatros the Fokker type radiator ? I think Albatros used the T&B type radiator . But has the T&B type radiator round tubes or flat presst tubes ?

Hi Udo,

I found a "Baubeschreibung" from 1917 of a D.Va. Here a Teves & Braun radiator is used. As far as I know Mercedes Radiators were used also.

Here a interesting conversation between John and Redbaron 1917 about the Teves & Braun radiator of the Pfalz D.IIIa:

Maybe Koloman Mayrhofer from Craftlab could help because of his Albatros and Oeffag replicas!

The second picture shows the upper wing of the Roland from below with the T&B radiator and the shutter.

Hello ,
I like the Roland radiator photo . Has this photo a number written at the front or back like , Flz.Bild-A. ............ ? Can you send me the photo to my email address ? The Roland radiator is different compared to the Albatross radiator . And all this Austrian build Albatrosses are different compared to the German Albatros . The Mercedes radiators must be very rare , I never had one in my hands . Have a look at your PM .

Hi Udo,

on p. 61 of the book "Kühlung und Kühler für Flugmotoren, Dr.-Ing. Pülz" there is a note on a Daimler-Kühler (see picture p. 110):

"Auffallend geringe Gewichte hatte unter diesen Kühlern, die in der
Form stark voneinander abweichen, einer von Daimler: leer 27,0; voll 37,5 kg oder leer 103,8; voll 145 g/PS. Allerdings hätte der Kühler zum Nutzen seiner Wirkung etwas größer sein dürfen."

On page 107 ff. the Seppler radiator built by Teves & Braun is described a little bit better.

Thank you Cellnot . From the Daimler Radiator I have the original drawing . Also from the Roland D6 . And I just got enough information about the Albatros Teves & Braun .

Udo,

even though I'm slowly but surely using up my data budget, here's a nice picture of the T&B cooler of a crash landed Roland D.VI. At least the rough dimensions should be able to be derived from this.

@John: In the Pfalz D.III replica threat you mentioned a T&B radiator with an empty weight of 17 kg. In the book of Dipl.-Ing. Pülz from 1919 I only found an empty weight of 27kg.

Are the differences between the individual T&b coolers that big or was it aircraft type-related?
