I ordered mine immediately and have nearly worked it through right now.
Absolutely marvellous !!!

The two most exciting new details for me:
  • Otto Kissenberth's first three kills were scored in the Fokker D.II according to Robin Schäfer and Greg VanWyngarden. That would make him the top scorer of that type jointly with Otto Brauneck. But in BLUE MAX AIRMEN Vol.19 a witness is cited who said it was a Fokker D.III ?! Who is right ?
  • Emil Thuy has scored several kills in an Albatros during his time with Jasta 28 according to Norman Franks. In BLUE MAX AIRMEN Vol.19 a report of his possible Allied adversaries in May 1918 about having encountered Albatros D.V's is mentioned but Lance Bronnenkant also writes that no direct evidence for him flying the Albatros at Jasta 28 is known. Thuy had a Pfalz D.III in November 1917 and according to wikipedia he upgraded from the Pfalz D.III directly to the Fokker D.VII. The latter notion would imply he scored 6 Pfalz D.III kills which would make him the top scorer of that type jointly with Erich Loewenhardt an Hans Klein. Who knows more ?

All best best wishes and highest praise to Lance Bronnenkant,

Michael
