The Air Raid on Milan on 14 February 1916

In the book section of 12oclockhigh.net I found a new book in both English and German:
"The Air Raid on Milan on 14 February 1916" by Gerald Penz

I think some people on this site would be interested. I don't know anything else about it.

There is already a review of this book in the lastest issue of the Austrian magazine ÖFH-Nachrichten. Quick translation:

Gerald Penz is a renowned aviation historian in the field of the k.u.k. Luftfahrttruppen. He is well known to the readers of the ÖFH-Nachrichten through several articles on the air war of this period.

With this book, he presents a comprehensive work on the air raid on the Milan power plants in 1916. This is considered to be the first strategic air raid aimed to interrupt the energy supply of a major city.

The preparations up to the flights are described in detail. Many details complement the well-written treatise. For example, there is an overview of the flights carried out, which crew, which aircraft, which armament, the flight time... There are flight times of over 4 hours! Impressive is the high quality picture material, which is also very well reproduced.

New is the publishing house of Dr. Olaf Stanger, who publishes this book. The text is bilingual in German and English to reach the large circle of people interested in this topic in the Anglo-American region.

There is an "1" on the spine of the book, which gives hope for further books on the subject of aviation. A book that every person interested in Austrian aviation should have! H.D.

Will try to figure out, what's the cheapest way to get tis book.

The cheapest way to get this book is directly via the publisher: https://www.stanger-verlag.at/produc...r-1916?lang=en
