Hi all
Immelmanns last two claims the Day he "was shot down" is most certain confirmed to two other German pilots..But who where they ?
My theory is that Lt Max Mulzer afterwards got the confirmation of FE 2b 6940 as his 6th victim(not chronical) and that the other was confirmed to Uffz Heinemann...?
Does anyone had any idea of this, or better the correct answer..?
Thanks in advance
Gunnar

Gunnar,
I have the answers at home, and will check on them tonight. The (hopefully) final updates to my German WW1 Victory List arrived from Germany two days ago, and I will start putting them in this weekend. It really is getting closer to completion.
Frank.

Dear Gunnar,
The second bomber shot down by Immelmann was credited to Mulzer, the first one may have gone uncredited altogether, but I am sure the second one was assigned to Mulzer as he had joined in the fight.
P.S.: Frank Olynyk, will you post a message when the entire set is complete for ordering?
Kind regards,
Reinout

I list three German claims on June 18, 1916. The first, without a time, is a Farman at Cernay-en-Dormois, by Ltn.d.R. Hartmut Baldamus, as his second victory, in a Fokker E type, flying for Fokker Staffel AOK3.
The second claim on this date is at 1758, an FE near Bucqyou, NE of Arras, ds. (diesseits; German side of the lines). It was confirmed as the second victory of UOffz Walther (first name unknown), flying for Ffla 5b. He had a total of three victories. This is the first of two victories possibly/probably brought down by Immelmann.
The third claim is at 2212, an FE near Lens, or Sallaumines, ds. It was credited to Ltn. Max Mulzer as his sixth victory, flying for Ffla 5b. In both cases Immelmann was flying a Fokker E.III 246/16, and the other two pilots were in Fokker E types.

Frank,
are you shure about Baldamus? I have a German source saying he made his second victory on 24th May (my thread related to the Hill near Moronvilliers) - in a Fokker as well.

Hannes,
I have Baldamus' first victory as on 23 May 1916, at St Souplet, diesseits. The source is given as Tornuss' notes, and the GHQ Daily Communiqué. There was one other victory that day, at Herbebois. (see Gunnar's reply to your other thread on the name of the hill).
Frank.

O.K. - I should read my sources more carefully. The text said that two new Flieger-Abteilungen came to the airfied Aussonce on 20.May and added Baldamus was achieving his FIRST victory but on 24th May.
So it was my own stupid mistake.
The location of the shotdown was called "Fichtelberg" by the Saxons (like the highest Saxon mountain) and is located ca 5-6 km west of St. Souplet. French "name" of this "Fichtelberg" is "le Mont sans Nome". I guess therefore the Saxons gave this hill an own name.
