Iron Cross features MvR

The current issue of "Iron Cross, German Military History 1914-1945" is dedicated entirely to the life and death of Manfred von Richthofen and features the work of some of our favorite Forumites and OTF authors including Lance Bronnenkant, Jack Herris, Greg VanWyngarden and others.

Iron Cross is available in digital format from PocketMags. Grab a copy if you can.

Talking

Mates,
An outstanding mag that I subscribe to. The information contained within about the Red Baron is really good.

You might like to check it out and read the back issues 1-7 that have some interesting information that I was unaware of.

I havent yet been able to buy this magazine in my country. Not even in the big magazine stores.

I am very fond of the concept of touching up the old photgraphs and give them colour, and let the historic individuals come even closer to us.
But the artist have to be very skillful and knowledgeable to make it realistic and historically correct, especially when we are dealing with people in uniform. Peter Jackson and his staff did a great accomplishment with "They shall not grow old".

One thing I noticed though about the coloring of a photograpgh of Lothar von Richthofen in the same Magazine (facebook), he was depicted with blue eyes. He actually had brown eyes.
