unknown French airman

Who could be the French airman, who landed on the airfield of a FA(A)?

Unfortunately I have no idea of the FA(A). But it could be 253 or 257.

On the backside of the picture stands:

"Vor unserer Haustür.

Ein gefangener französischer Unteroffizier, der auf unserem Platze mit seinem Flugzeug glatt landete weil ihm der……"

On our doorstep.

A captured French non-commissioned officer who landed smoothly on our airfield with his plane because he .......

Regards

Rainer

Hallo Rainer,

Could it be that the last part of the sentence is:

……. der Krieg nicht mehr gefiel?
