Bonjour Keith!
The following information is noted in the, wonderful, book Schlachtflieger! by the late doyens of German Great War aviation Rick Duiven and Dan-San Abbott in a listing of known activities and actions of Schutzstaffel 3 -
Royal Prussian Schutzstaffel 3
3Oct18 An as yet unidentified Schlasta 3 crew is shot down in aerial combat and taken POW between Véry and Cheppy in Hannover Cl.IIIa 3885/18.
A photograph of the very aircraft may be found in Hannover CL.III Windsock Datafile 23, by the renowned historian P M Grosz, on page 13 with the caption "US troops look on as German prisoners manhandle the intact Hannover Cl.IIIa 3885/18."
Make of the information what you will, but, it may indicate that the victory by Rollin Meyer can be confirmed and identified with the crew of the Hanover type captured near the recently liberated commune of Véry.
Salut!
Kirk
