French crew of a Voisin 1915
Hi friends,
here is a case for the French forumities.
The photo-card was written on the backside on 31 October 1915.
Does somebody maybe know the unit of this plane and therefore also the names of the crew?
Regards
Rainer

Looks like they were captured by the Germans.

The photo-card was stamped by the XIII. Armee-Korps / XVIII. Reserve-Korps. These units fought with the 3. Deutschen Armee during the battle of the Champagne in autumn 1915 (25 September till 6 November 1915).

Rainer

A roughly translation of the text on backside of the card:
"Meine lieben (lb.) beisammen!
The next sentence I can't decipher.
My dear together! Now again a greeting card with a view of a French aviator who had to land close to us. The engine shot together at the front during an aviation battle and then had to go down.
Otherwise I'm still fine, although we've seen a lot lately.....
Regards
Rainer

No the picture I posted -It Is the same Voisin 3 of Crew Sgt Michel Doré and Soldat Eugene Valot , escadrille 114 , photo taken later when the Voisin was brought back to a German aerodrome
cf site Albin Denis page escadrille 114
http://albindenis.free.fr/Site_escad...adrille114.htm
contrary to what is indicated by Albin, Valot was not killed but PW

Thank you Bruno!
I was a little perplex when I saw that this picture was from my collection. For whatever reason, I didn't found it on my data medium. But now I found it in a box and will archive it quickly in the usual way.
It seem's also that the caption of the other picture is wrong. But then it needs further investigation to find out the right unit!
Best regards
Rainer
