Arrow Another German Nieuport copy…

In the summer of 1916 the Germans were impressed by the performance of the small Nieuport fighters and it was decided by several companies to more or less copy the French design.

In this case it was obvious in connection with the Siemens-Schuckert D.I. Its main difference when compared with the contemporary Nieuport fighters was the counter-rotating rotary engine with a larger propeller and and a streamlined spinner. Less than 100 machines were completed until mid-1917, due to a slow delivery of engines…
