The 37mm Hotchkiss gun...

I found the following website and there it is explained in detail how the 37mm Hotchkiss gun worked. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQEs6i4fwLA At the beginning of the Great War there still were a lot of these guns in the arsenals of the involved nations and first it was thought that they were obsolete and of little use. But then it was discovered that it was a practical, rapid firing AA-gun, something that the inventors definitely not had in mind when producing the first prototypes in the 19th century...  .
