Ohio WW1 replica aero picnic 28 Sept

We’re again having our Dawn Patrol off-year get together at Aerodrome Les Noyers WW 1 airfield outside of Dayton Ohio Sat 28 Sept.
Will have formation flying, maint and construction talks and a presentation on building and flying WW1 replicas by special guest Fred Murrin!
Also Dan Patterson will re-present his Lafayette Escadrille film!
Food truck and pot luck: if you don’t bring a plane or project bring food!!
Aerodrome Les Noyers is 50 OH and just north of Jamestown near Xenia.
Hope to see you!

We have some WW1 re-enactors coming now and, of all things, the local “Pin-up” girls want to come.
Big food truck, but please bring some pot luck item if you don’t bring a plane.
Will have gas available

If you know other WW1 re-enactors who would like to come, they are welcome.

Well, I was not going to make the 8 hour drive, but since the Pin-Ups are coming out, I think I can make it....

"Ohio WW1 replica aero picnic"

The picnic is looking for a name, in my opinion.
How about "The Great War Aero Picnic" in Ohio, or something like that?

Russ, if visitors are coming a long way to the picnic, how about a one page handout on what, when, where it is and suggested logging and so on?
You might look at a program from our Dayton radio club that uses for our "Hamvention" gathering to get ideas and so on.

I'm hoping to be in the area visiting the out-laws that weekend, so that info would be great!

My Camel is currently a collection of battered tube and sheet 700nm NE...

Hmmm... GWAPO ... sounds like the 4-wheeling bad guy in the movie "Romancing the Stone", and something we could build a drink around!!

just putting together a first thought list -

Gin (maybe grenadine instead?)
White Wine
Ale
Pulque (used in some tequilas if I heard correctly)
Ouzo

We will have to explore the correct proportions for the best taste for whatever list we develop, I think.
