I found a photo of an early Hannover CL.II (the later CL.III and CL.IIIa were better known and produced in larger numbers).
According to my files Hannover C. 9288/17 was an early machine of the first batch of 200 aircraft (C.9200/17 to C.9399/17), ordered in August 1917 and you can clearly see the German markings as used before the spring of 1918. Also of interest is that the new type ("CL", light C-class) is still marked with a "C" on the fuselage.
