Lt Frederick Stovin died 24/4/18 aged 19 209 squadron
I am trying to research my Gt uncle who joined the RNAS squadron 9 from school, obviously became 209 squadron.
Obviously the squadron was the one involved with the Red Baron.
I have found his war grave and some flight records on line. So i have a copy of squadron flight record for 20th april 1918. included in that flight was Captain Brown and Lt May. I want to find flight record for 21/4/19 - 24/4/19 , so covering the day the red baron shot down and also the 3 days until my Gt-uncle was lost in action. On one document it says lost in action on secret mission.
Does anyone have this information? is it in any books? Is it worth booking to go to Kew ?
thanks
Oliver Stovin
I have found this on air history.org
