RFC Communiqué No 53:
The weather was unsatisfactory for observation. Fifteen trench points were registered by the 5th Brigade and during the course of fire on gun positions, two pits were destroyed, one was damaged, and an ammunition pit was blown up.
5th Brigade again attacked Miraumont with thirty 20-pound bombs.
Casualties:
2nd-Lieut Ellis James Campbell (Wia) & 2nd-Lieut Edgar John Humphreys Douch (Ok), 34 Sqn, BE2e 5861 - hit by HA fire over Martinpuich force landed 18 Sqn on pre-arranged shoot
