WW1 Williamson Camera as Lewis gun magazine
I have a camera I've been trying to research but I have found very little information on it, has anyone any details or examples. The camera is circular in shape and appears to mount in a Lewis gun replacing the magazine - not sure about this but it looks the right size and shape. The camera comes in a box with various fittings including gun sights. Manufactured by the Williamson Kine Co Ltd with provisional patent 7634/17 (I think the 17 represents 1917).
I assume that it was used for training - 35mm film. |
