Pilots' Mess, St. Omer
Hi,
I hope I have posted in the correct place...
I am trying to find out whatever I can about the physical description of the Pilots' Mess at St Omer (early 1917). So far I haven't found any source that describes the building, the size, the location (in relation to the rest of the aerodrome)... anything!
Was the Pilots' Mess in a wooden building? A Nissen hut?
I can't seem to find any photos or references. I don't have much of a resource library yet, and so I thought I might ask for the help of forum members. I have read the article in Cross and Cockade (2004, I think) but in 18 pages, it doesn't mention anything about the Pilots' Mess!
Can anybody help with descriptions, links or photos?
I'd be most grateful.
