Question Detailed information concerning 18 squadron RFC 1915-1916?

Hello everyone...any leads on detailed information concerning 18 squadron RFC 1915-1916?

A semi-answer to my own question is found from one of the sources of the Wikipedia article (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No._18_Squadron_RAF), the Air Pictorial from September 1964, of which I was able to secure a copy for about $7.88 USD (it is coming on a slow boat from England ), however, I thought I would ask to see if there are any other sources.

Thanks in advance,

Jeff

Hi

There is also an 18 Squadron History 'With Courage and Faith' by A Butterworth, Air-Britain 1989.
I also put a little bit of information in my article in 'Cross & Cockade International', Autumn 2009, on 'The Development of Cavalry Contact patrols 1915-1918' as No. 18 squadron became the Cavalry Corps support squadron in September 1916 for the third phase of the Somme.

Air-Britain's With Courage and Faith - the story of No. 18 Squadron Royal Air Force published in 1989 carries this note under Acknowledgments:

"For those interested in greater detail, the full manuscript of 250,000 words has been deposited with the RAF Museum at Hendon and may be consulted on application to the Director of Archives there."

As it happens, I made a request through the Museum's website some weeks ago for details about obtaining a copy of this document but never received the courtesy of a reply. Very frustrating when one is a 12,000 mile bike ride away from the source!

Wow, With Courage and Faith - the story of No. 18 Squadron Royal Air Force must be rather rare...cannot find it in any North American library, nor at the typical book selling places.

Hmmmm
