Archie Nathaniel Jenks

I've been doing research for a '100 Years Ago Today' thread on another website, and I've come across a dilemma for which I have not yet found an answer.

Today, April 26, 1917, was the first victory for Harold Satchell. No problem so far, but I like to collect the next win by each pilot so I don't miss it when that day comes. One month from now, on May 26, Satchell claims victory number 2 at 1030 hours. His observer is Archie Jenks. Ten minutes later, at 1040, Satchell gets victory number 3. All well and good, except while his listing shows Jenks as his observer, Jenks' own listing does not mention this second victory. Obviously since only ten minutes had passed Jenks was still in the plane. Does this mean Jenks actually had 8 kills, not 7? If not, then one of his others must be misplaced.

Complicating the matter is Above The Trenches. That book corroborates Satchell's kills, but doesn't mention Jenks at all.

Something is definitely wrong, but I don't have the information to find out what the truth is. any help would be appreciated.

The "Aces" section of The Aerodrome site has entries for Jenks and
Satchell, and lists Satchell's 2 victories on 26 May with Jenks as his
observer for both combats. Yet, the entry for Jenks states only 1 victory for 26 May and it confirms Satchell was the pilot.
Given the practice of awarding credit for claims to both pilot and
observer, it appears that Jenks should be credited with 2 victories
for 26 May and that his final tally was 8 E.A. rather than 7.
