Here is a little bit about the 3 machines who are survived WWI , some until 1945 ....or !
The Zeughaus already had the Fokker DIII 352/16from after the death of Boelcke in late '16 early 1917 .
Befor the death of Richthofen (at 21 April 1918), but only just after the date of his last victory ( 18 March 1918) on this ( Part painted Red ) 152/17 ,.. his regular machine , .....
152/17 was [almost certainly] painted all over red , ready again for his future regular use .
Some time after his death , it is decided that " One of Richthofens
Personnal machines shall be preserved for the Nation" at the Zeughaus .
It is thought probable that the Russian destroyed this 352/16 & 152/17 machines .
There are some stories against this of moving 152 to a place of safety in Berlin .
.................................................. .
Some other DRI survived WK1 example of 528/17 (2196) ,..GoeII (18) from the Adlershof ....This machine was now came under the peacetime DVL ( with quite several other machines ) ..By 1925 the new museum at Temelhof was established with machines (from all sides) now on display , loaned by DVL .
The rest is a long story better told in books .
It "may" been destroyed in making "Pour le Merite" in '30s .
[ or it or parts of it* may survive to this day

] .
Same also with a machine , ( assembled from saved parts in Holland ) , Oberursel #3223 , sent 1933 from Antony Fokker to Berlin & later used in films .
[ it or parts of it *may have survived to this day ]
* One only DRI fuselage & some parts exists today held by a collector .
Others will know more of the history about these machines .
