My source (Carré d'as by Jacques Mortane) says that his 13 th victory
on 17 august 1916 was an Aviatik of FA 42 crew Kasimir Branicke (P)& Paul Wagner(O) KIA

Question

An albatross of Squadron A, 226
listed on p.98
https://books.google.com/books?id=Eq...ynemer&f=false

Something lost in translation?
P.97 claims this was "13th Victory"
p.94 claim of having shot down his 30th Victory
https://books.google.com/books?id=Eq...ynemer&f=false

Yes right on that day ,but it was his 30 th victory on 26 January 1917 , not his 13 th victory ?
On that day he succeeded in making FTL the albatross without firing a shot (his machine guns were jammed), just by the bluff

look here

Note the large smile of Guynemer
