Question Any information regarding the actor Jack Warner

Hello all, I have recently found out that the English actor Jack Warner was a motor mechanic prior to the First World War, and enlisted into the RFC as a mechanic/ driver (non flying aircrew). Would anyone happen to know with which squadron(s) he served, and where he was stationed. He was well known for his part in Dixon of Dock Green, and for playing the part of Violette Szabo's father in the film "Carve Her Name With Pride" Many thanks, Strutter15

Jack was with 12 Sqn. Check out the CCI index - he gets mentioned in one or more articles and there's a photo of him in their concert party.

Wow there is a channel down here which shows a lot of old British movies from the 40's, 50's early 60's, around midday, and my father likes to watch them and of course Jack Warner often features - usually as soldiers and policemen. In one he was a double agent working for the Germans who had infiltrated SOE.

Cheers Russ

Warner was awarded the MSM in 1919, as a Corporal Driver. His citation would be interesting to see.
